NEOBI began in the Fall of 1994 as a ministry of Liberty Bible Church. NEOBI was founded to provide a source for the learning of the Word of God so that the Christian might be equipped for the ministry (Ephesians 4:12). Many people desiring to be used of God realize that they need a more thorough knowledge of God’s World. The Bible will equip us for the Christian life, provide us with the answers to life’s most difficult questions, protect us from the assaults of Satan, give us the Guidance of God Himself, and be an unchanging source of comfort and help.

With all these benefits almost everyone can benefit from a more thorough knowledge of God’s Word. There are SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS and CHRISTIAN WORKERS who minister God’s Word to others, PARENTS who depend upon the Scriptures in raising their children, TEENAGERS and COLLEGE YOUNG PEOPLE who are seeking God’s will for their lives, PROFESSIONAL and CARREER people who desire a deeper knowledge of the Bible, HOUSEWIVES and WORKERS who want to understand the great truths of the Scriptures, and SENIOR CITIZENS who now have time to study the Bible.

The time duration of this school is three years. Historical Bible Institutes have found a three year program of Scripture study seems best fitted for the average student. If the time period is a good deal less, the necessary amount of Bible content cannot be presented. If the time period is considerably more, a difficulty arises in keeping all the material in its proper perspective. In addition, there is a Bible pattern seen in the ministry of both Christ (who preached and taught for approximately three years) and that of the Apostle Paul (Acts 20:31).

NEOBI provides a unique opportunity for those who desire to have a deeper knowledge and understanding of the Word of God. Many are unable to attend a Christian University in order to obtain the Bible training they desire because of distance, financial concern, or family obligations. However, college level classes can be experienced one night per week that allows the student to learn more of the Bible in a way that allows the student to be used of God more.

This material will be internalized and made practical by the student. Every one of the Biblical lessons will be taught by observing three important guidelines. What does the lesson say? This is the INFORMATION. What does the lesson mean? This is the INTERPRETATION. How can the student make the lesson meaningful to him/her? This is the APPLICATION.

The student will be using some of the finest Bible centered curriculum in existence today. This includes a unique analytical outline summary covering the entire Word of God, professionally drawn visual aid charts and maps, and specially prepared workbooks.

Old Testament
The Old Testament Course consists of ninety-six lessons which divide the Old Testament into the following nine stages:
1. The Creation Stage 2. The Patriarchal Stage 3. The Exodus Stage 4. The Conquest Stage 5. The Judges Stage 6. United Kingdom Stage 7. Chaotic Kingdom Stage 8. The Babylonian Captivity Stage 9. The Return Stage These nine stages will chronologically cover the entire Old Testament from Genesis to Malachi.
New Testament
The New Testament Course consists of ninety-six lessons which divide the New Testament into the following three stages:
1. The Gospel Stage-Matthew through John 2. The Early Church Stage-The Acts 3. The Epistle Stage-Romans through Revelation
Theology
The Theology Course consists of ninety-six lessons covering the following twelve theological topics:
1. The Father 2. The Son 3. The Holy Spirit 4. The Trinity 5. Sin 6. Salvation 7. The Church 8. The Bible 9. Man 10. Satan 11. Angels 12. Prophecy
The following textbooks are required: 1. The Bible (King James Version) 2. Wilmington’s Guide to the Bible 3. Study Guide These books are available through the Institute and may be purchased prior to the beginning of classes. They are the only required textbooks for the three years. There are separate Study Guide’s for each semester.
The purpose of NEOBI is to teach its students the Word of God so they may be better equipped to serve the Lord Jesus Christ in evangelism and in the edification of His church.
This is a three year (six semesters) program of study with each semester being sixteen weeks long. Students may enter at the beginning of any semester and will graduate after satisfactorily completing the three year course. Programs available are: Certificate of New Testament- A student must complete the six semesters of study with a satisfactory grade average and have read the New Testament through once. Certificate of Old Testament- A student must complete the six semesters of study with a satisfactory grade average and have read the Old Testament through once. Certificate of Theology- A student must complete the six semesters of study with a satisfactory grade average and have read the assigned readings once. Diploma of Biblical Studies- A student must complete the six semesters of study with a satisfactory grade average and have read the Bible through once.
Initial Registration: $10.00 Tuition per Semester: $60.00 per credit hour Three Classes: $180.00 Auditing Classes $30.00 per credit hour. Spouses of students may enroll for $30.00 per credit hour in the same classes.
Classes are held on Tuesday nights for two semesters per year
