Have you ever felt that it was useless to pray to Him? 

If you have answered yes to any of these questions, then stick around. Because today’s message is titled, “When it Seems Like God Doesn’t Answer.”  The truth is that at one time or another, we have all thought that God wasn’t listening to us. So for today’s message, Pastor Allan will show us from the bible how God works in our lives & the part that faith plays.

You have been listening to Pastor Allan McCracken on “The Bible Stands” radio broadcast. Today’s message was about the times when it seems like God doesn’t answer you. Sometimes it can be very easy to think that God doesn’t love you, especially if He doesn’t answer your prayers the way that you want them answered. But blessed are those who will not derive their theology from their situations, but rather from the Word of God.

Now it is customary for us to never end a service without an altar call & that is what we would like to offer right now. If you have never trusted Jesus Christ as your own Lord & Savior, then don’t let another minute go by without Him. If you are a backslidden Christian, then no time is better to repent & turn back to the Lord. The bible says that If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. But it also says that if we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Understand that God loved you so much that he shed the blood of His only begotten Son, so that you would not perish but have everlasting life in Heaven. All that you have to do is tell Jesus you are sorry for your rebellion against Him, & ask Him to become your own personal Savior. 

Now, the Bible teaches us that our prayer must be from the heart---and not just a recitation of words. Romans 10:9-10 says “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” 

If you’re not sure how to pray, feel free to repeat after me…Dear God, I am a sinner & I need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His blood & died for my sin. I am willing to turn from my rebellious ways & invite Christ to come into my heart to become my own personal Lord & Savior. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

If you have just said this prayer then God, who cannot lie, forgave your sins & will take you to Heaven when you die. You see, the bible says that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved, and if you meant this with all of your heart, then you too will have eternal life.
