WHKW Broadcast 3 – What Happens When A Christian Sins?

      Today’s message is on what happens when a Christian sins. Every honest will admit that though they are saved, they are still a sinner. The truth is that when a born-again Christian sins, it is never the same as it used to be. And Though we still sin, the command is unchanging for us to sin no more. Now get ready for some biblical instruction from the books of Exodus & 1st John that will help us to avoid sin & explain to us what happens to a sinning Christian.

      You have been listening to Pastor Allan McCracken on “The Bible Stands” radio broadcast. Today’s message was about the consequences that Christians face when they sin. Can you think back to a time this week, or even today, when you knew that you had behaved in a way contrary to the Word of God? Are you experiencing some of these consequences in your life because of it? The bible is clear that all have sinned & come short of the glory of God, but what sets the Christian apart from the unsaved individual is what they do with that sin. You see, God has made provision for his children in regards to their sin, & that provision is the Lord Jesus Christ, & if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

      Now, if you have never accepted Christ as your Savior, & you want to get right with Him, then all that you have to do is tell Jesus you are sorry for your rebellion against Him, & ask Him to come into your heart & save you. 

      The Bible teaches us, however, that our prayer must be from the heart---and not just a recitation of words. Romans 10:9-10 says “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” 

      If you’re not sure how to pray, then please repeat after me…Dear God, I am a sinner & I need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His blood & died for my sin. I am willing to turn from my rebellious ways & invite Christ to come into my heart to become my own personal Lord           & Savior. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

      If you have just said this prayer then God, who cannot lie, forgave your sins & will take you to Heaven when you die. You see, the bible says that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved, and if you meant this with all of your heart, then you too will now have eternal life.
