WHKW Broadcast 10 – Fruits of Repentance

Repentance consists of a true sense of one's own guilt and sinfulness; turning from it to God; and seeking to live a holy life by walking with Him. Repentance is not just feeling sorry or remorseful, but being so troubled in your own heart that you begin to live by God’s standards, according to His Word. These fruits of repentance are visible ways that demonstrate that a person has actually changed. So please open your bibles to Luke, chapter 13 & get ready as Pastor Allan teaches us from God’s Word.

      Well during today’s broadcast, Pastor Allan taught us the parable of the fig tree. The point made was that the fruitless fig tree would be cut down & thrown into the fire. You see God wants His children to be fruitful, not like this fig tree. As Christians, we should be able to see some type of measurable growth compared to what we once were. So then the question must be asked, are you aware of any evident changes in your life, since your day of salvation? If you can’t answer this question, then you may want to re-evaluate your relationship to Christ. The bible teaches us that we are new creatures in Christ, & if you are not sure of your relationship to Jesus, then let’s settle it now. This way you can fully know 100% that you are a child of God. 

      If you’re not sure how to pray, then feel free to pray along with me…Dear God, I am a sinner & I need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His blood & died for my sin. I am willing to turn from my rebellious ways. I now invite Christ to come into my heart to become my own personal Lord & Savior. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
