WHKW Broadcast 11 – Lessons from a Church in Greece

Introduction:

	 Today, Pastor Allan will be teaching us a few lessons from a church in Greece. To begin please open your bibles to the book of Acts, chpt 18 & verse 1. Here we read about the Apostle Paul coming to the city of Corinth. This large & prosperous town was being ruled by immorality & idolatry, with it seeping into the church that Paul had started there. To correct these problems, Paul wrote a letter to the Corinthian Christians discussing spiritual matters, like speaking in tongues & the rampant degradation of the city. So stay tuned as Pastor Allan further explores these lessons from the Apostle Paul.

      Today, Pastor Allan expounded upon the instructions that the Apostle Paul gave to the Christians in the Corinthian church. This same sin, which plagued Corinth, still plagues our churches & lives today, so these lessons remain to be relevant to our lives. Paul taught that we need to recognize sin, address sin & purge sin out from our lives. If we do this, we will surely reap the rewards of victory. So then, is Satan being defeated in your life or is he getting the advantage? Does your lifestyle provide a testimony that you are a follower of Jesus? Think about these questions this week & do a personal review of your actions & choices. If they do not match up to God’s Word, then why not turn to Him & ask Him to make things right? You see, the bible teaches us that we are new creatures in Christ, & if you’re not sure if you are a child of God, then just ask him to come into your heart & save you. This way you can fully know 100% of your relationship to Christ. 
      
      If you’re not sure how to pray, then feel free to pray along with me…Dear God, I am a sinner & I need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His blood & died on the cross for my sin. I am willing to turn from my rebellious ways & now invite Christ to come into my heart to become my own personal Lord & Savior. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
