WHKW Broadcast 19 – How to be Happy

Introduction:

	Our message for today is based off of the life of Joseph, as found in the book of Genesis, chapter 50 & starting at verse 15. Here, Pastor Allan McCracken will be teaching us some practical ways on How to be Happy, as demonstrated by Joseph. If you read the account in Genesis, you will find that Joseph was never a complainer, nor was he ever bitter despite the circumstances in his life. He was sold into slavery as a child. He was falsely accused of raping a woman, & he was falsely imprisoned for many years. The truth is, that by the world’s standards, Joseph deserved to be an angry individual, but praise be to God, that he trusted the Lord. Through the Lord, Joseph was able to be happy in every situation. So, please stay tuned as Pastor Allan teaches us How to be Happy.

                                      Today, Pastor Allan shared 5 things that Joseph did in order to be happy in his life. He knew that God was in control of everything. He also knew that God was greater than all. He waited on the Lord & he put his attention & focus on other people. Finally, he forgave those people who had hurt him. As difficult as it may be to follow this example, it will undoubtedly help you to live victoriously. So let me ask you this, are you happy today? Do you have peace in your life right now? Are the burdens of this world becoming too much to bare? If you do not have peace then why not come to the one who will give you rest? Jesus said in Matthew 11:28, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Won’t you take his hand today?
                                      
                                      Understand though, that these promises are for God’s children. If you are not sure of your relationship to Christ then let’s settle it now. All that you have to do is ask Jesus to come into your heart & save you. This way you can fully know 100% that you are saved & that you will go to Heaven.

                                      If you’re not sure how to pray, feel free to pray along with me right where you are, at this exact moment…Dear God, I am a sinner & I need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His blood & died for my sin. I am willing to turn from my rebellious ways, & invite Christ to come into my heart to become my own personal Lord & Savior. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

                                      If you have just said this prayer, then God forgave your sins & will take you to Heaven when you die. You see, the bible says in Romans 10:13 that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved, and if you meant this with all of your heart, then you too will now have eternal life.
