WHKW Broadcast 36 – A Different Look at Christmas Introduction: Welcome to the Bible Stands with Pastor Allan McCracken. This program is brought to you by Liberty Bible Church, in Vienna, Ohio. We are an independent bible believing church that stands solely on the Word of God. Today, Pastor Allan wants to help us to look at Christmas from another angle. Rather than going over some of the more well known aspects of Christmas, Pastor will be focusing in on some passages found in the book of Isaiah, starting at chapter 55, verses 8 & 9. You see, God’s ways are not our ways & His thinking is above our thinking. And with that being said, Pastor Allan will show us how the Lord used the lesser things of the earth to declare the Christmas message to the world. So please tuned as we take a different look at Christmas. Concluding remarks: Thank you for joining us today as we took a different look at Christmas, Pastor Allan McCracken’s subject for today’s edition of The Bible Stands. Now, don’t forget that you can download this message & others online at our website. Just go to www.thebiblestands.net & look for the message titled, “A Different Look at Christmas.” During our broadcast, Pastor Allan sought to help us to look at Christmas from a different perspective. Through the reading of Isaiah 55:8-9, we learned how God’s ways are not our ways & how His thoughts are not our thoughts. This principle can be further understood by peering at it through the lens of the Christmas message. By examining the people, places, & purpose of the Christmas story, we can see how God used people & places that we would never think to use. You see, Mary & Joseph were not high pedigreed individuals; & Bethlehem was no big metropolis, yet the Lord looks not on the outward but on the inward. In the eyes of man, these would have been poor choices to bring the world its Savior, but the Lord said that Mary was highly favored & that Joseph was a just man. So how are you looking at Christmas? Are you focused more on the commercial side of the holiday rather than the spiritual side? Are you worried about what gifts to give your loved ones? Have you ever taken the time to get the best of all? You see, salvation is the Christmas gift that Jesus has for you, but you don’t have to wait for December 25 to arrive before you can receive it. If you have never received the free gift of salvation, then just ask Jesus to come into your heart & save you. This way you can fully know 100% of your relationship to Christ. So, if you are unsure of how to pray, you can repeat my words…Heavenly Father, I am a sinner. Please forgive me for my rebellion against you. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His blood & died for my sin. Please come into my heart & save me. Thank You for making me a new creature. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen. If you have just said this prayer, then God forgave your sins & will take you to Heaven when you die. Romans 10:13 says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”, and if you believe this in your heart, then you too will have eternal life.
