WHKW Broadcast 65 – Bible Christianity 101, Part 1
Introduction:

                                      Welcome to the Bible Stands with Pastor Allan McCracken. This program is brought to you by Liberty Bible Church, in Vienna, Ohio. We are an independent bible believing church that stands solely on the Word of God.
	
                                      Today begins a new 2 part series on the subject of Bible Christianity 101. The Bible tells us that Jesus will be returning to the earth & that we must be ready. You see, the Bible warns us of deception & how it will be prevalent in the last days. As Christians, we must know that we have the real thing to avoid this deception. In this broadcast, Pastor Allan will be sharing Jesus’ perspective of the Christian life, as found in the Beatitudes. And if our perspective is the same as His, then we can know that our faith is genuine. So to begin, please open up your bibles to the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 5, & beginning at verse 1.

Concluding remarks: 
                                      
                                      The Bible teaches us that out of the heart comes the issues of life & that a man does those things which he thinks in his heart. The fact is that both righteousness & sin comes from within us & it’s not just what we display on the outside. This perspective is expressed by Jesus throughout the Beatitudes, as taught in Matthew, chapter 5. The Beatitudes also show a progression of the Christian life, from the lost sinner who is poor in spirit to the saved individual living for God. In other words, these Beatitudes can be simply expressed as the attitudes that should be in our lives. If we want to have a true faith & be a real Christian, then we must have a proper attitude towards ourselves. We must realize how weak & sinful we are apart from Jesus Christ. If we will share these perspectives of Jesus, & allow the Beatitudes to shape us, then we can be confident that our faith is real. 
                                      
                                      Now if you have never shared Christ’s perspective of the Christian life, or if you have fallen away from it, you are not alone. The truth is that God has made a way for you to return to Him. He has sent his only Son to be the bridge between you & the Lord. If you recognize your sin & believe in your heart that you are in need of salvation, you can come to Jesus & be reconciled to God. If you are unsure how to express this to Him, you can this prayer: "Father God, I believe that I am a sinner destined for Hell because of my rebellion against You. I believe that Christ’s death and resurrection provide the forgiveness for all of my sins. I am now trusting in Jesus as my Savior the best way that I know how. Please help me to no longer live for myself, but to live for You. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen!"
                                      
                                      God tells us in Romans 3:10, that “…whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Now, if you have just said this prayer & sincerely meant it with all of your heart, then God will keep this promise & give you the gift of eternal life, securing your place in Heaven when you die.
